Rothko Series
Painted in August 2011, this series draws inspiration from Mark Rothko's 'multiform' paintings. They combine an abstract reading of classical mythology with my signature colour waves of reds, oranges and golds. Collaged papers add depth and texture while also alluding to the history behind the materials themselves.
