Layered Histories...

Multiple layers of crackle glaze, acrylic paint and polyacrylic cover the collaged papers that make up the underneath layers. This piece is about the layers and layers that hide and combine in order to create a simplistic visual composition. Either the top layers are covering up the real piece of art that exists on the actual surface of the canvas, or the top layers become one with the under layers to create a unified work of art. The choice is up to the viewer.
